2021 ANNUAL VIRTUAL MEETING

We’re eagerly preparing for our VIRTUAL 25th Annual Meeting of the Members which will take place online on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 7:00pm. We hope you will join us from the comfort of your home, as we share an update on the state of the Chamber.

We will be using Zoom, which is software that will enable us to conduct our meeting with video and audio capabilities. This will allow you to attend the meeting, no matter where you are. You will simply need a computer, tablet or smart phone capable of browsing the internet.

Each year, there are three seats open for the nomination and election. We are currently seeking board seat nominations for three-year terms covering 2021 – 2023.

By the first week of January, you will receive the LACC Annual Packet by MAIL including biographies of the candidates up for election, along with ballots. You may return the ballot in the enclosed, self-addressed, postage-paid envelope or by dropping it off at one of two outdoor destinations:

  • City of Lanesboro’s outdoor Utility Bill DropBox, or

  • Merchant’s Bank Nightly Drop (North side on Coffee Street)

If mailed, ballots must be postmarked by January 15, 2021 OR RECEIVED by Wednesday, January 20, 2021 3:00pm in order to count as a valid vote.

Nomination Process

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN BECOMING MORE INVOLVED IN THE CHAMBER'S WORK?

Are you particularly passionate about community involvement?
Do you want to lend your expertise to elevate the organization?

If so, you might consider joining LACC Board of Directors: Please familiarize yourself with the requirements and complete the application to be reviewed and considered by the chamber's leadership.

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS

Any member or an employee of a member in good standing(*) of the LACC can nominate himself/herself by completing the nomination form by the posted deadline. Applicants interested in serving on the Chamber's Board of Directors need to read and understand the "Board of Directors Roles & Responsibilities Handbook" prior to completing the nomination form.

VOTING

Every eligible LACC Member in good standing(**) is allowed one ballot. The ballot must be returned in the enclosed, self-addressed, postage-paid envelope either by mail or by dropping it off at one of two outdoor destinations:

  • City of Lanesboro’s outdoor Utility Bill DropBox, or

  • Merchant’s Bank Nightly Drop (North side on Coffee Street)

If mailed, ballots must be postmarked by January 15, 2021 OR RECEIVED by Wednesday, January 20, 2021 3:00pm in order to count as a valid vote.

Elected Directors will be announced at the Annual Meeting.

(*) Good Standing for Eligible Applicants means that LACC Members are current on their dues with the Chamber no less than five (5) days prior to Applicants Selection date (Mon, Dec 21, 2020) which is Wednesday, December 16, 2020.

(**) Good Standing to Vote in 2021 means that LACC Members are current on their dues with the Chamber no later than Monday, December 28, 2020.
In light of the 2020 pandemic, the keyword “current” refers to full or partial dues payment. Please contact us to discuss options and ask any questions.
